OUR MISSION
Selective Programme
Oxbridge Summer Scholars is a uniquely selective summer school. We interview all applicants to ensure that they have the required level of fluency in English and also the academic mindset and motivation that will enable them to benefit from the university-level teaching we provide on the programme. This means that you will benefit from meeting truly like-minded students who share your academic goals and ambitions.
Oxbridge Tutorial System
In addition to daily lectures and interactive seminars, OSS programmes offer students tutorials (intensive small group classes) in their favourite subjects. The tutorial system is a cornerstone of the world-class education offered by Oxford and Cambridge Universities. This distinctive approach to teaching is designed to foster independent thinking, critical analysis, and a deep understanding of complex subjects.

Interdisciplinary Approach
At Oxbridge Summer Scholars, we believe in the power of interdisciplinary learning. Our programmes are designed to expose you to a wide range of subjects and perspectives, fostering a deep understanding of complex issues, while still enabling you to focus on your primary area of interest.
Individual Project
One of the highlights of the Oxbridge Summer Scholars programme is the requirement to undertake an individual research project. This assignment allows you to delve deeper into a topic that interests you, showcasing your research, critical thinking, and writing skills, and is assessed by tutors who are subject specialists.

In our programmes, we strive to ensure that students gain knowledge not only in the field they are going to study at university but also expand their horizons through our interdisciplinary programme.
By choosing a stream, you will have the opportunity to select at least 3 core modules that are offered in that stream.
In addition, while filling out the application form, you will be able to choose 1 or 2 additional modules from other streams.

The Oxbridge Summer Scholars program was instrumental in shaping my personal development. Before participating in this experience, I had two major insecurities. The first was about expressing my opinions in public. Prior to the program, I had no idea how many different cultures and perspectives I would encounter. However, having this opportunity helped me overcome my insecurities as I realized that, in a multicultural environment, my opinions could contribute to enriching discussions.
Furthermore, before joining the program, I was uncertain about which specific area of social sciences interested me the most. However, after the program, I am now confident that choosing my course of study at university is no longer a problem.

As for OSS, the its academic aspect was particularly memorable. The seminars and tutorials were, undoubtedly, things that have sparked my curiosity and ways unforeseen.
I could not be more grateful to you guys for all your support and passion throughout these wonderful weeks at Oxford. My only complaint, if anything, would be that the program wasn´t longer. It was a wonderful experience from head to toes.

In August 2023, I attended the Oxbridge Summer Scholars Program held at Cambridge University. Over the course of the two weeks, I was able to attend a diverse range of interdisciplinary lectures that allowed me to explore my wide range of interests. New worlds were opened up and laid out in front of me, expanding my academic horizons.
I was exposed to new ideas that gave rise to a burning ambition to aim for the stars. I was plunged into a warm and welcoming space filled with like-minded individuals, and being a natural extrovert, I was able to foster connections that would last a lifetime.
All the while, I was able to walk Cambridge's cobblestone paths and feel the history of such a captivating city pour through me. Participating in this course was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Hi, I’m Begüm. I attended Oxbridge Summer Scholars in August 2024, to Stream C. This two week summer programme has become one of the most fun and interactive times I’ve ever had. I had the opportunity to meet numerous people who were passionate about similar things I was interested in, and I had the chance to meet amazing lecturers that provided us with information about the college application processes in the UK. At the end of the programme, I had many takeaways from the lectures and clearer goals about my future; which made me recommend this programme to some of my friends too!

My experience at OSS is definitely one I will remember for the rest of my life. The university style lectures definitely captured my full interest and being taught and debating on topics such as ethics and criminal law, these sessions definitely helped me to deduce whether university would be a viable option for my future. I especially enjoys the opportunity for questions and debate in the tutorials. These allowed me to have one to one sessions with my tutors and gain knowledge on more niche subject areas within the topics they presented. My absolute favourite experience was making friends that came from all the way around the globe. From Canada to Bahrain and Turkey, I found people with both similar and different interests and perspectives on life which helped me to reflect on my own life choices. Overall I would highly recommend the OSS experiences as it provides a detailed insight into university life. 10/10 would definitely come again.

Oxbridge Summer Scholars was a refreshing and enlightening experience. It equipped me with the skills and the passion to steer me in the right direction degree-wise, as well as enriching me and providing me with the resources that I would not have received in a typical school environment.
It also pushed me to become more ambitious and taught me that Oxbridge (which I could not even dream of before) is a very real possibility if I apply myself. It taught me that I have a love for learning and that university is a definite next step for me. These valuable lessons alongside the friends that I’ve made and kept from around the world and the freedom and fun that came with student life in Oxford made this a truly rewarding time. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

The Oxbridge Summer Scholar Programme is highly interdisciplinary, offering not only in-depth knowledge in your field of interest but also exposure to related fields, making sure we the students receive a well-rounded educational education.
The tutors are knowledgeable and supportive, providing valuable assistance with sessions, tutorials, and university queries. This course is academic rigours but it also has elements of fun and adventure like the weekend excursion to Cambridge, Christ Church college and the Bodleian Library. I made many new international friends and learned a great deal from them.
Living in Oxford prepared me for university life, giving me a glimpse of my future and helping me decide whether to apply to Oxford or Cambridge. Overall, the experience was very rewarding.

Our programmes are split into six streams: Stream A (Science, Innovation & Technology), Stream B (Medical and Biological Sciences), Stream C (Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship), Stream D (Law, PPE and Global Issues), Stream E (Creative Writing and Humanities), Stream F (Visual Arts and Architecture) and Stream G (Application Bootcamp). If you have a clear idea of what undergraduate courses you want to study, check out our pages for Oxford and Cambridge, where there are lists of Oxbridge-specific undergraduate courses applicable to each stream. We recommend you consider the stream that directly relates to your chosen course. However, this does not stop you from choosing based on your interests.
Our programmes offer a fully immersive residential experience, with accommodation provided in Oxbridge College residences. You can find details about the cities hosting our 2024-2025 programmes on our website.
